From what I can remember each McBSP (There are more than 2 in OMAP 1610) runs at 100Mbps. So if you have two of them you have a combined throughput of 200MBPS. Crudely speaking,in a 16 bit system operating at 48 khz on a single channel, the demand is .76 MBPS. And you have nothing less than 200 MBPS on board.
