Thank you Daniel. We are working for it, almost integrated the DSP and
PXA 255 in a single board.

Ajith,

Read the manuals for both evaluation boards and determine if there is an 
easy way to prototype with existing hardware, or at most, designing only 
the interface boards to "glue" the two together. Once you have debugged 
the prototype, then you can proceed with designing custom hardware.

Thanks for your reply. I was looking for a board which contains both
floating point DSP device and a CPU (both DSP and CPU in a single
board). But we have not found any thing similar. So we started
developing one for our purpose.
By integrating the DSP and CPU, one can achieve the display and/or I/O
capability of CPU and the number crunching ability of DSP, but not
found any one off the shelf. Any opinions or suggestions?

Both processors are supported by stand-alone evaluation boards by the respective IC manufacturers (ADI/Intel). I know the SHARC (EZ-KIT) boards bring I/O pins off-chip that allow interconnect to another board. I am guessing the Intel ARM eval board does too. good luck, Dan Ash

Hi,

We are developing a card with an ARM processor (PXA255) and a low cost
Sharc chip (DSP and CPU in a single board). We want to use this card
for a medical application.

Does anyone know of a low cost dual processor card with a floating
point dsp and the capability of running Linux on the host CPU? The
Tiburon from Bittware is the only one I could find but it is too big,
too expensive, and too complex.
