You aren't listening. We weren't criticizing your product. We were
criticizing your blurb for lessening the product's appeal.
Engineers and others who deal with things that can demonstrably fail are
put off by hype. One fancy car is touted to have a feature that
accelerates the outside wheels on turns. It's true, but it's still crap.
All cars with four wheels have differentials. I try to avoid buying from
people who I catch trying to deceive me by creating a false impression,
even if they don't lie. (I don't buy one brand of olive oil that claims
to be cholesterol free. I do buy a brand that advises that all olive oil
is cholesterol free.) You tried to create a false impression by hoping
nobody would notice that you weren't disinterested. Go work a carnival.

And I'll repeat, go check. You'll find very easily that the deal YMagic is
offering is unbeatable. We are offering a complete product (H/W+BSP+CODECS)
at the price of a MPEG-4 encoder.
The least you can do is find out from one vendor the cost of suggested
package and then comment

He didn't even have the wherewithal (or know-how) to disguise his e-mail address

I guess the simplest thing to do is to compare YMagic's offering to
competitors.
I'm sure this will clarify the statements.

Ya but you're involved, thus suspect, a salesman. If you were a
disinterested 3rd party then the comment might be welcome. Coming from
y'all, it isn't likely to be.
Your post is an ad and ads aren't all that welcome. Thus the reaction.
You can believe what you like. If you were really a salesman then you'd be
more tuned in to your audience. So far, you are out of tune (the first
post) and aren't listening (your 2nd post).
The lack of serious information in the first post makes it simply a "come
on" to your web site. It's so obvious that it reeks and offends. It's an
ad and a bad one at that.

I still say it's a great deal. If great deals are out there they should be
widely spread.

Jerry,
How can you complain? After all, he/she starts out by saying:
"I know about *few* [emphasis added] customers that are really excited...."
So, then the "great deal" must be a sarcastic comment. ;-)

Occasional ads and product announcements are welcomed here by most
participants. Disguising them as friendly chit-chat is fraud at worst
and hucksterism at best. The disguise reflects badly on the product and
on those who provide it.

Hello all,
I know about few customers that are really excited about YMagic's
offering.
At the cost of the H/W design files they almost giving away:
1. H/W design files
2. A well documented and efficient Board support package
3. MPEG-4 simple profile encoder
4. JPEG encoder
Great Deal !!!!!!!!!!!!!
