a narrow band bandpass filter... but you have to know or guess what the answer is.... put the filter on the frequency where you think the tone is..... if you have no idea where the tone is then you need to slowly sweep the narrow filter until you find the tone...so it helps if you have an a priori idea of where to look .... Once you find the tone and if it is stable in frequency, you can continue to narrow the filter and remove more noise.....the limit being determined by the frequency stability of the tone.. Mark Mark

I'm kind of a noob. I'm working with Matlab and I'm just not to sure what 
kind of filter I should use...


If anyone could give me any brief ideas I'd greatly apreciate it.
