Hi there

1) What I am trying to do:
To define a codethat allow the reconstruction of an image which has undergone heavy sub sampling before being transmitted to a destination point.

2) What for?
The sub sampled image is transmitted from an origin point and reconstructed at the destination point...using a code which allows the reconstruction of the transmittedimage...thus saving transmission time

Questions?
If I know the method/function used to down-sample the image at the origin point is it then possible toreverse the process andrebuild the original image in all its integrity at the destination point? and
If thisis the case...hasthis been done before?..are there any papers/references in the subject...is it worth investigating this topic?
