That's a very good idea.

Lots of people here know matlab, lots of people know communications. With a little luck, you might come across somebody who knows both.

That's very good, indeed! Don't know much about this application, but I have noticed that people surprisingly often develop elaborate methods in the "ideal" single source, ideal environment situation, that do not expand well into more realistic non-ideal situations. Rune

Hi there, after reading the paper by F.R. Farrokhi on "Transmit Beamforming
and Power Control for Cellular Wireless Systems" I still kinda confused
about the virtual uplink concept.

I would like to simulate the virtual uplink concept to gain more insight.
I'm not very experience in matlab simulation and I certainly hope theres
some kind soul out there that can help me out a little.

Furthermore, in that paper it is assume a single cell environment right ?
So I would like to find out what the feasibilty of close form solution for
multicell as well as under different channel fading environment. But before
I can start doing that, I really hope somebody can guide me a little as to
how I can start modelling the virtual uplink concept in matlab. Your help
is very much appreciated.

One more thing, do you consider the virtual uplink concept in this paper
as optimal ?? Because I do came across papers where they described this as
sub-optimal ??

Thanks in advance
