you'll have to worry about how to do DWT without any help from me, but
to read a wav file in C i think Erik, the MegaNerd, has free code for
you:

Ya. SOund eXchange(SOX) would be helpful in this case, and we can do much
more with it. I have worked on it in Linux. But I don't know whether
"jadaayu" works in Windows or Linux. Is a WinNT binary available for SOX?
