Your quite welcome. Hopefully you will discover the problem and its solution soon, if you haven't already.

If you are convinced that the driver and the emulator are working correctly, then yes, the problem probably lies on the target hardware. In which case, make sure that the target has ALL of the power and grounds, that it has a GOOD clock, and that it is getting a valid reset signal. Also double check the target hardware schematic versus a known good example and also compare against the datasheets to be absolutely certain that nothing has been missed. The ezDSP schematics works well for this and you may be able to find one for download - try spectrum digitals web page. Once you are certain that all is in order, then try changing the processor as it is possible, though unlikely, that you have a dud. If all this fails, then your next step would be to buy new hardware to have a known good. Preferably such hardware would have a reference schematic that you can copy from.

Thank you for your reply. The driver is ok, because we had used the same
device(JTAG)to connect a DSKc6711. We had entered into CCS and got the
correct wave. That's why we know where the question is, but don't know
how to solve it.Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you! I have
suggested buying a new hardware.

TI's JTAG uses a TRST line that goes into a secondary reset pin on the processor used by the emulator. This line, TRST (Test Reset) is used by the debugger to allow it to reset the processor, presumably without interfering with the (global) hardware reset line. It sounds as though you are having a driver - code composer conflict. Until your post, I have never heard of a Seed emulator. A search for the unit brings up pages that are mostly unreadable by my browser. I personally have only used the Spectrum Digital emulator. I did help debug an emulator by Icetek, which it turns out was a bootleg copy of a Blackhawk and would't work correctly until it had Blackhawk drivers. I would suggest that you verify that you do have the correct drivers, make sure you follow the installation instructions EXPLICITLY and if possible borrow / buy a known piece of working hardware.

First of all, thank you for your answer.Yes, it is a new system that
is being started up for the first time.
The error information is :
The fatal error during :OCS; Device driver: Problem with the Emulation
Controller.
The chip is c6713, JTAG is seed-xdsusb2.0, and CCS is v2.2. The
connection between DSP and JTAG is ok. TCK and TCK-RET is connected
together with an output wave 10M.
Additionally, I don't understand your third reply, can you explain it
in detail ?
It is a new experience for me. Hope for your help, thank you very much!

Additionally what processor is on the board, what emulator are you using, what version of CCS do you have?

Your question is a bit vague. Your post seems to indicate that you can't start Composer, presumable because it experiencing an error with the JTAG. What error message are you getting? Just saying that you can't enter into CCS tells us very little. First off, you should be able to start up CCS without needing to connect to the target device. Second, are you using known good hardware or is this a new system that is being started up for the first time? I think the implication here is obvious. Third, IIRC, the JTAG setup uses a reset signal that goes into the Test Reset line on the device. Is this hooked up correctly? If this is not a purchased development device, such as an ezDsp kit, does your jtag setup require / have the EMU0 and EMU1 lines and if so are these connected? Do you have the power and ground connections on your JTAG? What about the TCK is this changing. At least on some of the systems, the TCK signal has an in and out pin and they typically get tied together.

Hello,everyone!
My question is :
When I click CCS, I can not enter into it.At the same time,I checked
1. the signal of TDI only changed once, then it kept high.
2. the signal of TDO did not change at all.
3. TRST changed from low to high, then kept high.
4. RESET had no changes, but kept high all the time.
I try it again and again, everytime I got the same result.
Can you tell me why, thank you! Need your help urgently. Thank you a
lot!
