Dear Dr. Mike,

Now I tried again to test my code in emulation mode, and I can set breakpoints in the source window. I don't know what happend, since I didn't change any properties or settings, but it seems to be working now Anyway thank you for your help, you have written useful informations to me:)
Have a nice day!

Regards,

Chester

Howdy Chester,

It should be able to set breakpoints. If all the parameters are set up
correctly (type of processor, external lines that control boot mode, etc.)
between the VDSP and hardware, then send a question to Analog support.
There's got to be a bit flipped some where that will fix it. The hard
part is figuring out which one of 500 it is.

Patience, persistence, truth,
Dr. mike

Dear Members,

I have succesfully built my source code in Visual DSP++ 5.0 in simulation mode. Now I have to test it in emulation mode, and I use an ADSP TS201 EZ-KIT LITE board (two Tigersharc processors are on the board) and I can load my soure code to the board with the HPUSB-ICE Emulator. Now I'd like to insert breakpoints to my code, but it is not allowed.. If I try to insert original breakpoints, nothing happens, and if I try to insert hardware breakpoints, there is an error message, it sounds like: No hardware breakpoints are allowed for this processor.
Anybody have an idea how to solve this?
Thank you!
Regerds,

Chester
