Hi,

The entropy is nothing more than the measure of amount of disorders in a
system !

For the spectrum entropy tells me how different the distribution of energy
is ...

example:

See this vector 4 position he has all the numbers different from one another

d = [1 0 2 9];

Entropy
0.520426041484281

Now let's take another vector d = [4 4 4 4], we note that this has all values
equal to its entropy would be

Entropy
0.999999999997045

In a real world nothing is really in perfect order...

High value of entropy indicates the existence of a constant similarity of
energy (Small Variations)

Low value of entropy indicates disorders, difference, irregularity !

Hi,
I would like to know about the spectral entropy of a signal and what does it mean in physical world. As I understand, the spectral entropy of a particular frequency band gives the energy distribution of the signal. High value of entropy indicates the existence of a sharp peak in that frequency band. Is that right?

Your response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
