Hi Alex,
VisSim/Comm can do it.
You can download a free 2 month trial here:

Hi Julius,

finally I find a clear idea of my goals and I succefully design a complete
simulator with simulink of a DVB-T trasmitter: the main caracteristics are
the possibility of insert channels, doppler shift and the carrier
frequnecy offset.

If you are interested, I can explain you how I have done it.

Now, the next goal is the estimation of carrier frequency offset.

I found a lot of technical papers on internet (IEEE) but I haven't yet

found a final solution.

Can you help me?

GoodBye, AlexGiul

This is a question that is hard to answer without a clear scope to your resources / goals / specs. If you already have a linear, time-invariant channel, then modeling its effect on a simple 'dumb' OFDM is easy. Just convolve the time- domain transmitted signal with the channel, and voila. Make sure that the sampling rates match, etc. But if you don't have the channel itself, then the task becomes more complicated since now you have to generate the channel (or channels) according to some spec/description. If you want the OFDM receiver to be 'smart' and do channel estimation and/or compensation, it's even more complicated. So how ambitious are you? Julius

Hi to everybody,
I'm a new user of this forum;
I'm trying to realize a model in simulink with I can simulate an ofdm
trasmitter and receiver.
I have seen the model proposed from mathwork and I want to insert the
effect of a channel and not only the noise;

Has anybody any information about this task?

Thanks, AlexGiul
