...as it would to define what types of signals you are looking for: Narrow-band or broad-band? Transient or Stationary? Interference or not? And so on... Rune

It would be a good idea to start with a definition of the array of antennas you're using. That makes the beamforming a lot easier. Then it's just a matter of adding things in phase according to the direction you want. Now, DOA is another matter altogether. That's generally based on a relative phase measurement. So, likely you need to form 2 or more beams for that purpose. Fred

My desing is a Wimax beamformer, I have to analize received signals with an FPGA at baseband to calculate the DoA (real time needed). I didn't realised I hadn't written it!Thank u!

Not enough information for your desing! Acoustic beamformer for instance?

hi,

first of all, thanks about your help for my first question here. I'd
need something else...

I have to develop an effective algorithm for beamforming as a part of
my desing. I'm looking for information about the diferent existing
possibilities but I'm not finding good articles and documents that explain
these algorithms clearly. Could someone tell me where looking for?

Thanks!
