Responsibilities
The Audio Systems Software Architect is expected to provide technical
expertise and leadership in all areas related to PC audio software.
This is a software design and implementation position working with PC
Audio device drivers, user applications and property panels, and audio
signal processing solutions. This position will be primarily focused
on support for the Microsoft Vista operating system and will be
responsible for developing key components required by the new audio
subsystem design of this OS.  Position will also include development
and support for current and legacy OS platforms.
Requirements
*  Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related field
*  7+ years of C/C++ development
*  Experience with leading small to medium technical teams
*  Experience with real-time software systems or PC audio systems
*  Experience using formal software development process and SCM tools
Job Responsibilities:
*  Design, implement, test, and document software components
*  Lead requirements definition
*  Signal processing, middleware, and user interface
*  Work with customers and Marketing to define new audio features and
applications
Required Skills:
*  Ability to review a design and provide accurate technical and
schedule assessments
*  Ability to debug issues
*  Ability to analyze problems and synthesis solutions
*  Ability to guide less senior engineers
*  Ability to create software architectural and functional
specifications
Preferred Skills:
*  Kernel level debugging
*  Audio Driver development expertise
*  Experience with COM interfaces and development
*  Understanding of Windows memory Management and DMA
*  General knowledge and experience with computer audio sub-system
(HDA and AC97)
