I do not have any experience with the DM642 driver,
but...

Sheldon has provided hardware and software for TI
floating point products [3x and 67xx] for some time.
They are not a "driver company", but they develop
drivers for their own hardware [meaning that they
work]. I would not hesitate to spend 200 $US for a
working driver [with source code] for the DM642, if I
needed one.

Dear Group,

To anyone that has used DM642 as a PCI device: Which tools did you use
to create the Windows/Linux driver part?

I found a company that supplies a Windows Driver Framework for DM642:
SheldonInstruments. Refer to
http://www.sheldoninst.com/sw/dm642dspdriver/tiwin982000xp/index.html.

Has anyone experience with this product?

best regards,

Thomas

Hi Jeff,

Can you tell me where to get this TI driver? When it comes to PC drivers and libraries to access DM642 from a Windows/Linux PC, I cannot find a lot at TI. There is a little bit available together with the EVM boards, but this libs can only be used together with the EVM boards...

Could you recommend me sources for drivers (except Jungo) and libraries (except dm642lib.lib from spectrumDigitals EVM642 board)?

best regards,

Thomas
