Good question, If this is possible I would like to know too. I ended up just using the cfft but if I could use the rfft and get both real and imaginary resluts or just the length of the combined vectors that would great. One thing I did notice between the two is that the result of the rfft used the whole array where as the result of the cfft used half the array with the other half containing a mirror of the first half.
