motor drivers and transistors? are you going to supply power to the dc
motor through the dsk? Well designing/making a transistor amplifier
circuit is surely difficult and i dont understand what you mean by motor
drivers with transistors. i do not know more about motors but i think they
require a lot of current when they start. the gpio anyways can give 3.3v
and the power might not be sufficient to start/run the motor (might damage
the dsp)

hi,
i could not make out exactly what information you require, but do see
google for "power high side switch". this is also called a latch
sometimes. the technical name might not be either. an example is bsp742t.
this would solve the problem that john had mentioned in the previous
post.(3.3 v output to a 6 v motor). in case the input is logic high, it
will switch on power to the load.
but integrating it straightaway with your dsk would require some research.
there might be surge/impedance problems. i think a simple microcontroller
would be an easier solution than a 6713 dsp.

Thank u for ur reply sir...can't i use..motor drivers..and
transistors..for amplification...n den use dc motor...i just want to
switch on a dc motor and off...so..can i do this??

You don't give any info about the motor. If you need to source 0-6VDC
to control the speed, forget about it. The McBSP as GPIO only gives
you 0 or 3.3V with some tiny amount of current. Now if you want to
supply a switching waveform to a PWM motor driver, controlling sweed
by duty cycle, the DSK might be able to do that. Here are some example
circuits for 3.3V:
