Hi Jackie, we use host booted SHARC systems for our products. What we do is forget about loader programs (these are for systems with no host in my opinion), but use the host to download the DSP code from a FLASH memory to the SHARC via DMA, and then use the external port interrupt to start the DSP. This works well for us.
