Problem with BF535 EZ-Kit USB driver!

Started by musiimiao November 16, 2003
Hi, Super ADSP stars and Gals and Guys and ...,
I got a problem with my BF535 EZ-KIT.
It does not talk with my VDSP 3.1 properly.
Wat I had done is:
I load some codes using session of ADSP BF535 EZ-Kit Lite. The codes
using SPI polling method. And since I halt it in the middle of
running the program. And in the output window I got some err of 'Cant
halt the program'. Then I reset it.
2. When I restart VDSP(also power off then power on the board),it can
not be launched. The leds of (PF1-4) keep on blinking and the USB led
is yellow(normal). But I had an err from VDSP like "An error has
occurred while trying to connect to the target...if trying to connect
to physical hardware, that the appropriate target connections have
been made...". Then it shows the select session window. I choose the
EZ-Kit again. It then came up with some err like : the current driver
version is 00.00.00. A minimum driver ver of 03.00.00 is
required...close down VDSP, and unplug the USB cable from your EZ-Kit
lite board. Plug the USB cable back in to ur EZ-KIt Lite and launch
VDSP again...
I followed the instruction. It still refused to work...
Then I remove VDSp and USB driver related files. And reinstall the
whole thing... of coz I dun change the hardware...

Still can not work!!!

Pls give me any suggestions...

Thx a bunch...
Musii

Did you turn the power off on the ezkit and unplug it from the USB cable at
the same time? If the BF535 is like the ADSP-21065L, the JTAG port can get
wedged from some chip operations and has to be fully power-cycled,
including removing any power source from the JTAG connector (ie. the
USB-based on-board ICE), to reset it.
