VisualDSP++ and Tcl

Started by Jack Potrymajlo February 20, 2004
Hi,

I read visualDSP documentation about Tcl script. Is it possible
to run VisualDSP load program to Ezkit and exit form VDSP?
Of course when I use "idde -f tclsript" form command line VDSP
is executed but If exist switch which not shows main application
window? Is it possible to do this without using Tcl?

regards

Jacek

VisualDSP++ 3.5, available for Blackfin and 218x/219x and "coming
soon" for SHARC and TigerSHARC, has a more flexible Automation API.
Looking in the on-line help that ships with 3.5 (note that I have
not done this myself), the ADspApplication object includes
a "Visible" property that (quoting the documentation) "Gets or sets
a flag that determines if the application window is visible." That
sound like what you need.

You did not say which processor or version of VDSP you are using, so
this information may or not may be relavant to your particular
situation. :)

RUSS, thank you for your answer.
It's really what I needed. Now I know what should I search. My
VisualDSP++ release is 3.0 for SHARC processor. On ADI site I
founded that I can use Automation API and COM technology in this
release but I can't find documentation to do it. Is there this
property only in full license VDSP?
Where could I find documentation to use automation API with
VisualDSP?

Unfortunately, I believe that the Automation interface is new to
VisualDSP++ *3.5*. 3.0 "only" has the Tcl interface, which does not
seem to have the ability to suppress the rendering of the main
window.
