Hello all, the 65L has two serial ports, 0 and 1. Each serial port consist of two seperate data lines, A and B, making a total of four serial I/O lines. I seem to remember that when a serial port was operated in multichannel mode, it could not operate both A and B lines simultaneously, just one of them. However, I can't find this information in the manual anymore. Can anybody point me to the correct page in the "ADSP-21065L SHARC User's Manual"? Hi Andor: >I seem to remember that when a serial port was operated in >multichannel mode, it could not operate both A and B lines >simultaneously, just one of them. Not really explicitly said but page 9-20 and 9-25 transmit and receive control registers. Notice there is no SDEN_B or SCHEN_B control bits as there are in standard or I2S modes. Also page 9-34 SCHEN and SDEN, "All operation modes for primary (A) SPORT channels. I2S and standard modes only for secondary (B) SPORT channels.." Hope that helps...It may be in a paragraph some ware in the book, but I cant find it ether. Brian F. www.iedaudio.com |
