Processor Versions

Started by Milan Bajza September 27, 2004

Hi,

I have a problem with build options in CCS 2.21 for the C5510

I want set the built option "Processor Version" with more than
one entries such "-v5510:2.0 -v5510:2.1 -v5510:2.2".
It seems that the entry field allows only one value. I have
tried many string combinations already. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Milan

Milan,

I am using an external MAKEFILE for projects so that I eliminate these kinds
of problems.
I suggest to use an external make file.

Hi Milan,

As far as I know, you can't supply multiple processor versions in CCS. May I
know why do you need this option?

Hi Mihir,

I want build a library of a TETRA-Vocoder algorithm
written in assembler, ported from C54x.
This library runs on C5510 with revisions 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2 at this time.
I want ensure the best code generation with consideration
of silicon bugs.

Do you think this is not necessary? Can I build
the library for e.g. only revision 2.0 with sureness running
on revision e.g. 3.0 later? I think each new revision could have
new silicon bugs. Ismail suggest to use an external make file.

Milan
