C5510DSK External memory Diagnostics failure

Started by Lakshman December 6, 2005
Hi,

I'm working on C5510DSK board. I'm trying to test
C5510DSK board with the diagnostics test provided by
TI. It passes
1. USB Diagnostics
2. Emulation Diagnostics
3. DSP Diagnostics
but External Memory diagnostics fails on DSK board??

I think it's not related to GEL files or a cmd file
becoz C5510DSK uses a default GEL file provided by TI.

Does anyone has an Idea why Ext. Mem test failed???

Thanks and regards,
-Lakshman

I am not sure, but I remember the time it happened to
me, there was something wrong with the hardware. So I
think you probably need to get the board fixed or
contact TI/Spec Digital.

Hi Piyush,

The application works fine when we place both program
code and data in internal memory. The application
crashes(doesn't load) when we try to access external
memory.

Thanks for your help. I will check up with spectrum
digital.
