Emulator not being initialised

Started by Ravi Kadam September 7, 2002
Dear Group,

Right now I am working on TMS3206211 and the Emulator that we are using is
Spectrum Digital XDS510PP_Plus and the port that we are using is the 0x378 set
at ECP+EPP mode.

But I am unable to initialize the Board through Emulator using CC Studio.

Hence I wanted to Know:

How do I connect a XDS510PP_PLUS with a TMS3206211 through the 0x378 port
address?

What is the mode of the printer port setting? (We currently use the ECP+EPP
mode)

Is there any utility similar to the portio.exe provided for the XDS510 Emulator
for the XDS510PP_PLUS Emulator?

Is there some new *.CCS file to be specific for the Hardware that we have right
now?

Would the sdgo62x.dvr be useful for my requirement?? If no can any one of you
send us the driver that would be useful for the XDS510PP_Plus Emulator?

If anybody has worked with this configuration or know about handling this
situation kindly mail to me at the earliest.

With Regards,

Ravi Kadam

Hello,

By experience with XDS510PP_Plus :

1) Get the latest drivers from SD web site

2) Get SD COnfig utility from SD Web site

3) For each mode available in your bios setup,
Use SDConfig and test every port mode using
the "emulator test" icon.

You will find the combinations that works.
Keep the one that seem the fastest

The results are PC dependant. It seems that on
some PC ECP+EPP doesn't work as well as
EPP only or ECP only.
