hello everyone,i'm currently having quite a hard time with a certain
issue..
i have a laptop equipped with windows Vista and i have bought the
C6713 and have installed all the necessary software.
and windows does indeed recognize the hardware and says that it is
installed properly but the strange thing is that whenever i run the
C6713 Diagnostics tool or the Code Composer Studio,it never reads it!
no matter how many times i do this,it always says that there is no
device even though windows says there is and i'm at my wit's end.
any help would be very appreciated!!

Are you running with admin permissions?? [you should be]
You may check the vendor's web site [Spectrum Digital] to see if you
have the latest version of their software.

The $%^&* AKA VISTA contains several anti virus 'features'.
The main effect of those 'features' is that any program that does not contain the Microsoft Stamp of
Approval cannot access any I/O.
There is a method of disabling those features (or so I have read); but I do not know the details.
