Hi,
I am trying to install the EVM 6201 in a PC (over Win95 and Win98 ).
I tested in onboard and offboard motherboard PC but experiment the
same error message for all combinations PC - OS:
CAN'T INITIALIZE THE TARGET CPU
CAN'T INITIALIZE THE JTAG CONTROLLER
PLEASE ENSURE THE I/O PORT IS SET PROPERLY AND THERE ARE NO H/W
CONFLICTS.
I/O PORT = 240.
BOARD NAMExx EVM (TEXAS INSTRUMENTS)
CPU NAME: CPU_1
I've used the driver that comes with the CCS CD and I try both CCS
versions (1.2 and 2.0). There is no I/O conflict.
Could anyone experiment the same problem?
Thanks in advance, Evandro.

Evandro,
It looks like the error message came with the EVM installed on the PCI bus
- when you do this, you must set the address to 0.
Also, try evm reset...
Refer to ti/docs/pdf/spru269.pdf [and spru305 for tech details].
