Hi C6Xers I have a job using a TMS320C6713 and got a prototype going in the form of a daughter board on top of a Spectrum Digital DSK. Now I want to go to my own PCB. I see in the Gerber files of the DSK that layers are multiplied in the stackup. I'll guess it's to get low impedance traces and wonder if anyone can give me insight into any traps ahead of me. How much can I hang on the DSP buss without the buffers? I've done lots of analog boards but not a lot of stuff like this. Thanks for any advice, Al |

Al We have done several C6713 based designs using a 6 layer PCB and 6mil trace/space with no problems. Our stackup: 1 - signal + GND fill 2 - Power +3.3V and +5V plane 3 - signal 4 - Ground plane 5 - Power +1.26V plane 6 - Signal + GND fill Used approx 20 x 0.1uf caps on the 1.26V and 3.3V supplies + 100uF Tant - Steve -------- Original Message -------- > From: > Sent: Saturday, October 02, 2004 5:52 PM > To: > Subject: [c6x] Digest Number 972 > > There are 3 messages in this issue. > > Topics in this digest: > > 1.
