Hello Swapnali,

TI uses the terms "XDS510 Class" and "XDS560 Class" for their emulators.  TI no longer makes the XDS510 emulator [it was an ISA bus device], although several other vendors offer both XDS510 and XDS560 Class emulators.

Either emulator can perform basic debug.  If you have ever used one of the DSK products, they have the capabilities of an XDS510 class emulator.

My understanding of the capabilities/differences are:
XDS560 Class
More expensive, usually faster, always have variable TCLK capability, supports HS-RTDX
XDS510 Class
More products available from more vendors, less expensive
XDS510 & XDS560
Available with PCI, USB, Parallel Port, ISA bus interfaces

When chosing an emulator [like anything else], list and prioritize your care-abouts.  For example:
Robustness
Cost
Performance
Vendor Support/Stability

I hope that this helps.

It would be breaking the license agreement to install CCS into multiple PC's whilst the license exists
for only one seat. Having said that I must also say that this is not uncommon. It may be worthwhile asking
these questions to your Engineering Manager on what are companies stated policies on licensing
related issues. For ex: some companies have a zero-tolerance policy towards unlicensed software when
it comes to production software. And a more lenient approach to R&D. But to answer your question, yes
the simulator will work.
