Hi everybody,
I'm new in this group and I need some help...
I have no experience in programming dsp but now I have to do it for my
thesis and I have a problem.
I have a TMS320C6713 DSK board from Spectrum Digital that can be
connected to the pc using USB port.
I read the Quick Start Installation Guide and I followed the
instruction but I couldn't be able to connect the board to the pc.
Actually I found on the kit only 2 cds:
1. Matlab and Simulink for use with TI DSPs (free 30-day Trial)
2. TI Product Information - eXpressDSP - Software and Development Tools
I read on the Quick Start Installation Guide that there must be also
the C6713 DSK CodeComposerStudio CDROM, but I didn't find it.
Luckily I found a CodeComposerStudio v3.0 at my university department
and I installed it.
Everything seemed to go well but when I connect the USB cable into the
DSK board, the pc didn't find the driver on the CCS v3.0 CDROM.
So the pc canot recognize the DSK board. I read that the driver files
are "sdusbemu.inf" and sdusbemu.sys" but I didn't find them
on the CDROM.
Anybody had this problem? Can you suggest me how to fix it or where to
find the driver's file?
Thank you for your help
Claudio

Claudio,
Normally you need a '6713 DSK only' version of CCS.
The TI version of CCS does not include SD drivers.
My suggestions-
1. contact the 6713 DSK "supplier".
2. contact SD - if you look on their web site, you may
find at least the drivers available for download. If
you have a current board rev and the correct version
of the drivers, they can be installed on a system with
the 'full version of CCS' [as it comes from TI].
3. I'll stick my neck out here. Locate another 6713
DSK owner and borrow their CD [check that your board
and their board are the same rev]. I personally do
not believe this to be a violation of 'fair use' of
the DSK software. All DSKs are sold with a DSK
version of CCS - it will not work with other products.
