help AED-103 daughterboard

Started by claudiomail113 January 22, 2006
Hi everybody,
I'm new in this group and I have no experience in programming dsp.

I have a question:
Has anybody already used the AED-103 daughterboard from Signalware?

I have a TMS320C6713 DSK board from Spectrum Digital with the
daughterboard AED-103 from Signalware with 16 ADC.
I want to import data from the ADC of the daughterboard to the PC but
the unique connection to the PC is the USB port from the TMS320C6713 DSK.
I already asked you if I can import data from the DSK to the PC and
Mike told me that the USB on the 6713 appears to be dedicated to the
debug JTAG port and that I cannot use it as a general purpose USB port.
But (except buying the HPI card at
http://www.educationaldsp.com/stockproduct_dsk6xxxhpi.htm) anyone has
any idea how can I import data of the ADC's sampled signal into the PC?

Thank you very much for your help.
Bye
claudio

Hello Claudio,

If you do not have too large of a sample and you do
not need to do it realtime, you can capture your data
to a large array. At the end of the capture, you can
save the contents of the array to disk.

If you need to capture the data realtime or 'near
realtime', you will probably need some additional
hardware.
