CCS 3.2

Dear all,
I have bought some boards from sundance comp.
SMT310Q : carrier board with JTAG XDS510
SMT361A : DSPC6414 D10
I installed CCS 2.2 but there was an ERROR : "cann't initiaalizing taget"
after that I installed CCS 3.2 (beta 2). in code composer setup were there sundance modules option, but there isn't SMT361A or SMT310Q. I set up it with the configuration file that from sundance was bought, and used the 6400 driver but in this time it couldn't connect the target too.
Is ccs version not compatible with the boards or i must consider other things.

Hi,
As far as i Know, SMT310Q is PCI board. If it is then
did you install all the drivers come with this board.
I use this board long ago and i remember that one
should be careful with the sequence of drivers to
install properly.

Give me detail of your problem.

Hi Merhan,

Have you asked your question on http://support.sundance.com/ ?
If you have not, please go there, register and submit a message.
Sundance is full of good knowledgeable engineers who are happy
to solve any problem regarding Sundance hardware.

Concerning setting up the carrier and the module: please read carefully
SMT310Q User's manual.pdf and SMT6012 User's Manual.pdf files, they
have detailed instructions on how to set up SMT drivers and Code Composer
Studio. The XDS emulator should be set up with the options: "auto-generate
board data with extra configuration file", where the conf. file location
is something like "C:\Program Files\Sundance\SMT6012\SMT310on20.cfg" and
use a right XDS510 driver.

In Board properties tab you need to fill in the PCI bus location of
the carrier (SMTBoardInfo utility will find it for you) and eventually
in the Processor Configuration tab you need to add the CPU's that you
actually have (an SMT361 is equipped with a single C64xx, if my memory
serves me correct).

Have you checked that you have installed at least SMT6001, SMT6012 and
SMT6300 packages that comes with the hardware?

Please also remember that any module that is hosted by an SMT310Q is no
more than a processor for the CCS Setup utility: that is if there were
4x SMT395Q TIMs on the carrier, you have to specify 16 C6416 CPUs
on the board in the CCS Setup program.

Hi,
1- If you have succesfully install the drivers then
smtinfoBoard will show the board and its detail in the
gui.

2- I used this board with CCS2.1. Plz see the details
or read manual for the setup of this board with CCS3.0
or upgraded version. Also if you can give me detail
about your setup of CCS (which .dll and .dat file you
r using) then i can get more insight of this problem.
