Hi I used the new "fantastic" Visual Linker to link my project files, but my program did not work properly. I tried to use the Legacy Linker instead and now it looks like the program is working. As far as I can see the Visual Linker does not include all sections from the object files, the .switch and the .sysmem sections are not inluded. The Legacy Linker includes these sections even if I do not include them in my linker command file. So, my advise is to AVOID the Visual Linker. Best regards Torgeir Jakobsen |

More Visual Linker Bugs

Hi, I have made the same experience with this tool. There are some things which are really cool (for example the intuitive assignment of symbols to the end of a section, ...) and I have made two attempts in the last 2 month to get my project running with the visual linker - but I also stayed at the Legacy Linker.
