Replacement for Ubicom IP2022 => C5509a? what others could i use?

Hi,

The company I just started working for has tasked me to find a
suitable replacement for the current mcu (IP2022)

The specific characteristics that are needed are:

 - Fast wakeup time ( less than 300us for wake from pll stop to first
instruction crunched)
 - Low current in standby (less than 200uA)
 - greater than 120MIPs
 - preferably 2 channel DMA (frees up a heck of a lot of cpu
cycles...enough that perhaps we could get away with around 100MIPs)

I am currently evaluating the C5509A from TI. However it is taking me
quite a bit of time to get it running (currently stuck on getting it
to wake up properly from sleep due to RTC interrupt....rtc interrupt
works, sleep works...but not at the same time). So I am not able to
say definitively if this is the chip to use!

While I am working away on that I was hoping someone out there with
some experience with either the 5509a or another suitable mcu/dsp (it
doesn't matter what the architecture is as the application is fairly
simple) could give their opinion on where to look (if there is
something better) or what type of wake times and power consumption
they get from the 5509a (I will find out eventually...but it would be
nice to hear from someone else).

Thanks,

Michael.
