... <don curmudgeon hat> You are not sorry, merely insincere. If you were truly sorry, you wouldn't have posted here. <doff curmudgeon hat> This is an ideal job posting. The requirements are comprehensively listed and geographical information is provided. I hope you get your new people. Come back when there are more openings (only next time, if you must have a preamble, make it more like "I hope it's OK to post this here"). No Jerry. It far from ideal. They demand a CV in MS Word format. If they won't accept a submission in something nearer universal, like PDF, I consider their attitude rather poor. That said, it is a much more informative job posting than most we see. Regards, Steve

You're right. My automatic translator kicked in, and I assumed something readable by MSWord. On Windows, Wordpad will do -- it does RTF, and even Notepad, which produces Word-readable plain text. I don't have MSWord on my machine. When I need something like that -- for reading, mostly -- I use a free near clone, AbiWord (GNU license). http://www.abisource.com/ Jerry -- Engineering is the art of making what you want from things you can get. &#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;&#4294967295;

I use OpenOffice.org. It handles Excel, et al, and like AbiWord, costs infinitely less than MS Office. -- Jim Thomas Principal Applications Engineer Bittware, Inc jthomas@bittware.com http://www.bittware.com (703) 779-7770 The secret to enjoying your job is to have a hobby that's even worse - Calvin's Dad
