C6713

Hi there,

I personally would recommend the C6713 as I used it to learn developing
code on a TI platform. There's a good book on it by Rulph Chassaing :
http://www.dsprelated.com/books/238.php

The book has some good introductory projects (filtering, decimation
etc...) and also has a chapter dedicated to some more involved projects
which can test the knowledge you've gained in the previous chapters.

You have the option of doing either floating point or fixed point on it,
and it is nice to have an option like that. It'd be a good idea to start
on fixed point as other posters have pointed out and also since the
aforementioned book uses fixed point code for the majority.

Again, I've had success working with this board so I would recommend it.

good luck!

I apologize everyone! My intent was to respond to the post "TMS320vc5416
or TMS320C6713 " and give my input to that specific poster. I didn't
realize I posted a separate article until I took a look at it this
morning.
Just don't want to come off as some clown trying to advertise something
shamelessly in this forum, I was truly trying to give someone some
feedback.

Once again my apologies.

~Dave
