Compression artifacts in compressed audio typically show up as ringing, pre-echo, drop-outs, warbling, metallic ringing, an underwater feeling, hissing, or "graininess". How and when the artifacts above occured? Where can i get the appropriate speech samples to taste the effect? More, anyone can explain how the artifacts come into being in detail? Any coments would be appreciated. Regards HyeeWang@gmail.com

If you like USENET well enough to put up with the weirdos, consider getting a real newsreader that lets you filter by the originator's name (I use Pan and Thunderbird). Then just filter out any content from them, and let them gnash their teeth and foam at the mouth all they want, alone. -- Tim Wescott Wescott Design Services http://www.wescottdesign.com Do you need to implement control loops in software?
