OT: Who invented the airfoil?

(snip) There is a recent episode of PBS's series "Secrets of the Dead" which says that many things credited to Leonardo aren't actual from him. As well as I understand, he had drawings of lots of things that he didn't invent, and others later gave him credit for them, even though he didn't claim the credit. I am not sure this is one, though.
