Started by Rulph Chassaing November 2, 2004
Announcing my new book (scheduled for publication on November 19):
"Digital Signal Processing with the C6713 and C6416 DSK," Wiley, 2005.

The C6713 DSK has replaced the C6711 DSK. Some new features of my new
book compared with my previous book based on the C6711 DSK:
* There are 105 programming examples (as opposed to 76)
* New Chapter on DSP/BIOS and Real-Time Data Exchange (RTDX)
* Very extensive Chapter on students projects (22 undergraduate and
graduate projects) and Applications such as: DTMF, BPSK, Spectrogram,
Speech Synthesis, etc.

The publisher John Wiley offers a 15% discount on my new book only if
it is purchased within 14 days after accessing Wiley's link FROM my
web site at http://ece.wpi.edu/~chassaing

An extensive Table of Contents and a list of the programming examples
in the book are posted on my web site.

Please feel free to contact me. Feedback on my books is always
appreciated.

Hi,

I am new to DSP and have been thinking about picking up Dr.
Chassing's last book, I think I will wait for this one as it sounds
more comprehensive encompassing two different processors. I haven't
yet bought hardware. I have noticed C6711 DSKs and EVMs for sale on
eBay in the past. Does anyone have an opinion what hardware to buy?
As well what does the group think of Dr. Chassing's book offerings?

Thank you.

Hi,
I will suggest you get the C6713 DSK as Dr. Chassaing's latest book is
geared towards development using this DSK. Also, the C6416 DSK is very
similar to the C6713 DSK.
