in case anybody wonders why my participation might be a little spotty of late, take a look at this function of time: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/vt/nwis/uv?dd_cd=03&format=gif&period=31&site_no=04294500 this happens to be where i live: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=40+North+Cove+Road,+Burlington+VT&aq=&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=36.231745,79.013672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=40+N+Cove+Rd,+Burlington,+Vermont+05408&ll=44.527889,-73.270944&spn=0.000996,0.002411&t=h&z=19 my hope lies in the fact that the 2nd derivative is a teeny-weeny bit negative at present. to get an historical look at it, since i lived here: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/vt/nwis/dv?cb_00065=on&format=gif_default&begin_date=2000-01-01&end_date=2011-04-12&site_no=04294500&referred_module=sw a little windfall (if it stops) is that canoeing is readily available from my back yard. might be fun. Yikes, it's even higher than the time in 2006 when you took me around the Winooski River floodplain in the canoe. How's that ark coming along? Seriously, stay safe. Greg

(Phew!)i dunno. they don't look so covered in the sat photo. but i don't smell anything from it except on rare occasions. sometimes rarely, in the middle of the night, we would smell something like a faint whiff of lime. the wind normally comes from the west, so we smell the lake. it normally smells like woods and moss and pond. the mosquitoes can be real bad by July. r b-j
