That way you are in control of the situation. However, this only works if you focus on how he insults others and not you.

Vladimir can certainly be rude, but I don't think I've ever seen a situation in which the technical content of his answer was wrong.

Vladimir can be abrasive at times, but you don't impose financial damage on someone just because they're abrasive. Ignore him, take your business elsewhere if you have any, generally don't dignify his misbehavior -- those are all good solutions. Attacking him is way out of line, as is trying to incite others to do so in your stead. For all that he's abrasive he's a smart guy and has good answers if you manage to get your questions above his bar. If anything, he does good on this group -- I'll see questions that are just too lame for me to want to answer, but when he starts name-calling, I figure I need to at least point out _why_ the question needs expansion, if not give a go at answering it.
