I felt a little strange when I received notice of that award. I presume that the Editors-n-chiefs of the IEEE Sig. Proc. Magazine, over the years, received positive feedback regarding my 'DSP Tips & Tricks' column and I believe that feedback was the primary reason they gave me that award. But my problem is: there were many people, including some of the guys here on comp.dsp, that helped make that magazine column a success in one way or another. There were guys here who wrote DSP Tips & Tricks articles and other guys who helped by reviewing article manuscripts. And when the early 'Tips & Tricks' articles were compiled into a book, you Al wrote an unbelievably glowing review of that book. SOooooo, ....I feel ill at ease receiving an award when so many people helped me. See Ya', [-Rick-]
