I'm part of an auto-racing site where the general membership refer to themselves as "The League of Extraordinary Assholes". Newbies are treated harshly (yay, mercilessly) for any mis-step or rule violation or unsupported assertion. The idea being that it's a self-policing culture where only people who can push aside that sort of treatment or understand the motivation will remain. BTW, my comments above do not condone such treatment, just report that they exist elsewhere. I think it's not a great way to do things in most cases. Eric Jacobsen Anchor Hill Communications http://www.anchorhill.com

That's up to whoever reads it. I do hope that it reduces the chances that anyone thinks that being hard on newbies here is a good idea. Eric Jacobsen Anchor Hill Communications http://www.anchorhill.com
