There is something very suspicious about that question. The text is in 
simplified Chinese, but we don't use simplified Chinese in Hong Kong. It 
might be a report about the question from China, but its definitely not 
original text from a Hong Kong exam question.

Yes, that's what I was thinking too....  Probably one of those snopes
