Joint Kalman Filter vs. Dual Kalman Filter

Could you please help me to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of Joint Kalman Filter and Dual Kalman Filter, and a comparison of the two methods.

I may not be the regular on this group who knows the most about Kalman 
filtering, but I'm certainly the most vocal on it.  And I don't know what 
you mean by "Joint Kalman Filter" or "Dual Kalman Filter".

I suspect that these are techniques that have not made it out of research 
programs yet.

Have you gotten the relevant papers on each, read them, and tried to see 
what they're touting?
