Hi Al! Which board would you recommend to start with the blackfin? Are there Alternatives to the ADI boards? It supports 32 bit fixed and floating point math versus 16 bit on the Blackfin. The $100 kits were over a year ago and available by special promotion from ADI thru its distributors. I think it sells for $300. -- Al Clark Danville Signal Processing, Inc. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Purveyors of Fine DSP Hardware and other Cool Stuff Available at http://www.danvillesignal.com

The BF533-STAMP board is a GREAT option: - BF533 running at 500 MHz - 128 MB SDRAM (64M x 16) - 4M Flash - Ethernet ready - IO Connectors - Interface modules available: Video In, Video Out, Audio I/O, etc... - ucLinux ready!!!! Sells for under US$170 at Digikey, in unit quantities!!! For more informacion, check this out: http://blackfin.uclinux.org/projects/stamp/ http://www.analog.com/en/epHSProd/0,,BF533-STAMP,00.html Also search for BF533-STAMP at www.digikey.com As you asked for alternatives to ADI boards, there are a bunch of other Blackfin boards available. Have a look at this: http://www.blackfin.org/developmentboards.php http://www.mds.com/Products/prodcat.asp?cat=BlackFin OK, for high quality audio it would be wiser to stick to the SHARCs.
