I have tried to use the McBsp of the DSK6713 in combination with a MAX3110 to convert it to RS232. At this time I have the problem that the McBsp is not working at all. I have already tried the "UART" example program (original from TI) to make sure that there are no programming errors. This test program was not working accurate too. It would be great of someone could give me an advice how to handle the McBsp correct or maybe a test-program that was in use already. Thank you for your help, Juergen

That Maxim part is a 5V device. The McBSP is 3.3V. Check out this app note: http://focus.ti.com/docs/apps/catalog/resources/appnoteabstract.jhtml?abstractName=spra633b It has info on the software as well as the hardware. If you want to just buy a daughtercard that will do the job you can get one from a TI Third Party: http://www.dspglobal.com/Int%20Card%20SERIAL.htm Brad "froehlich" <j.froehlich@icie.jku.at> wrote in message news:49a09c626aec900f19a3e6abc4ca0854@localhost.talkaboutelectronicequipment.com...>I have tried to use the McBsp of the DSK6713 in combination with a MAX3110 > to convert it to RS232. > > At this time I have the problem that the McBsp is not working at all. > I have already tried the "UART" example program (original from TI) to make > sure that there are no programming errors.
