I was careless in my comment. Tim's testimonial about his increase in speed backs up the claimed advantage. Actually I am an advocate for Dvorak, it is a better choice than my compromise suggestion. But having transposed the letters on my keyboard I can say that qwdrfy is marginally better than qwerty even after only a few days, and very easy to learn. BTW, I like your quote about engineering, did you originate it?
