Hello everybody, I am trying to built a model in Matlab for symbol timing recovery by using the Gardner TED that feeds a polynomial interpolator. Does anyone know how can I go from the error signal output of the GAD TED to the fractional delay '=B5n'. Do I have to use a loop filter and a interpolation controller? What are the functions of the the interpolattion controller and of the loop filter respectively? In my application the signal comes inside my receiver and it is sampled at a Ts=3DT/8, where T is the symbol period. After I make use of the Farrow structure of the cubic interpolator as a function of '=B5n', the output of the polynomial filter feeds the input of GAD TED. What are the functions performed between the input '=B5n' of the polynomial filter and the GAD TED output?
