Hello, I am trying to an image camera for doing some DSP work. I want to have it to connect to my C6711DSK board. I have heard that there are some that allows one to read a full line of pixels upon a clock trigger, which could be easily generated with the DSK. But so far I have only been able to find video cameras with NTSC signal output, which requires a frame grabber. For still images, I am able to find CCD sensors but that require a whole board load of timer and ADC chipsets to get it to work. Can someone point me to a company that makes these integrated camera modules? Actually I am not sure what is the difference between a digital video camera vs a digital still camera. Is the video version just a faster still camera?

Take a look at the DSKcam ... www.BiTEC.Ltd.uk The DSKcam is low cost camera daughter card for the TI range of DSKs. It has been used on many applications such as VOIP, image processing and surveillance. It can also be used as the basis of a powerful embedded smart camera.
