Discrete Fourier Transform? I think(am pretty sure) she means Design For Test. I have seen this type of description many times before in different mails asking for "DFT professionals" for chip design. In fact there are many private coaching for these type of skills(DFT, RTL, Layout and floor planning etc.) now propping all over India, so rest assured she is looking for Design professionals for ASICS.There are lots *eco-system* companies that either work with or for Mentor Graphics and such likes. Shilpa-- I think it would be a good idea to tell the forum if nationality or current location matters as well for your call. I hope you do realize that this is not a restricted tiny bangalore-based, yahoogroups-like community -- indeed it is the usenet newsgroup -- subscribed to by millions(?) of users world wide. So if I were you, I would'nt include comp.dsp into my mass mailing list. Or may be you actually intended to reach comp.dsp for this requirement that you have for a bangalore based company? PS:Shilpa, Iam getting the feeling that may be you should be reading atleast one more post at comp.dsp titled - "Electrical Engineering Careers in USA" web based source: http://www.dsprelated.com/showmessage/42295/1.php --Bhooshan This message was sent using the Comp.DSP web interface on www.DSPRelated.com

Hi Shilpa,

Are you willing to relocate people? What salary are you offering?

Dirk, What, are you thinking of running away from home, again? The weather there is great this time of year... high 80s to early 90s... but their tacos suck. Ken
No Ken,

I was thinking where could I go to get an 80% pay cut, a case of
malaria, and be happy with it. Maybe Bangalore, India is the vacation
spot I am looking for.

Thas was cheap. I have spent more than 75% of my earnings living a while in London inspite of my 80% *pay boost*. To boot, I got a severe stomach bug as well! (So much for my third world immunities!) I promise you that you will not spend more than 40% of your earnings living in Bangalore and you are unlikely to bitten by any bug other than the "India Bug". May be you should give Shilpa a call some time later. --Bhooshan ps: This thread reminds of this infantile definitions of "Heaven and Hell": Definition of heaven: American salary, Indian wife, Chinese food and British accommodation. Definition of hell: American wife, British food, Chinese accommodation and Indian salary I can vouch for the British food! This message was sent using the Comp.DSP web interface on www.DSPRelated.com

I think these stereotypes should be expanded... Definition of heaven: American salary, Indian wife, Chinese food, British accommodation, Spanish weather, Irish beer and Swiss organisation. Definition of hell: American wife, British food, Chinese accommodation, Indian salary, Irish weather, Spanish organisation and Swiss beer.
I am sorry. I get my impression of Indian life from those who were born
there but have chosen to leave.
