Average salary for DSP engineers?

Started by Lars Hansen October 4, 2005
Hello

How much do newly graduated DSP engineers with no work experience earn per
year in average if they work for a company based in California?

Thanks

It depends. I have yet to meet a "DSP engineer" with a BSEE and no experience. I would consider the entry level to be MSEE and no experience. My best guess is about $75k/yr for those credentials. John
Plug the relevant numbers into IEEE's salary calculator which takes
into account things like size of company (which may impact salary by
~10%), location, ...

Thanks for the answer :o) Let me clarify: Candidate profile: 1. A graduate with a M.Sc. EE degree (major: signal processing) 2. He has not worked for a company doing DSP programming 3. He has gained experience with DSP programming through several projects at university What would this guy earn per year ...say in California?

Thanks :o) but doesn't that require that I pay for IEEE membership or something?

Hi Lars Any chance you are from Denmark and considering moving across the pond? I would like to know how it goes since we share name and profession, and perhaps nationality :) Regards

I didn't. I'm still a graduate student at DIKU (computer science) and my main interest is DSP.
